Can it get any better than this? Let's all be thankful that we are not living off the Gulf Coast. We enjoyed fully. We soaked in the sunshine, played in the warm, tepid surf, marched and watched the colorful, festive parades and enjoyed friends and families and tasty BBQs. One I attended by my video cameraman. David Fasano who captured my Fiji and Canada Show for TV, which was one of the best. I savored spices and sauces that I never had before. Maybe it was because his wife Nickie, mother of son, Ollie, three years old, who was raised in South Africa, incorporated her secret seasonings into the delicious salads she made. But Dave had grilling secrets of his own. No restaurant could compare with his baby back ribs, chicken legs and thighs, hamburgers and even hot dogs that were extra special. It was a real treat, as it was to meet his friends, Jody and Laura Phillips, whose brother, Christopher Phillips, is a teacher in Rockaway. Hope you all had as nice a time at the end of summer as I did.

In my travels during Fashion week, I visited the Kurt Adler Showroom at 7W (7 West 34 Street building). It is like stepping into the most beautiful glorious Christmas trees and ornament display in all of New York. They will be in your stores in time for the winter season. Dominick Pipitone, from Lincoln Walk, Breezy Point, whom I met recently, works for Kurt Adler and he most certainly will have brochures and tell you all about their fabulous holiday displays. I would like to interview him on TV in the showroom so that the TV audience and all of you could see for yourselves. Maybe he will get in touch to that. At the Javits Center I came across Tinseltown's tinted glasses @$425 a pair. Black oversized round, half tinted shades to shield eyes from the paparazzi's red carpet flashbulbs and giant studded and, gold braided wrap belts for $400.

But a must is to line your lingerie drawers and closets with a Hot Scent pillow, a Sharp dressed Man sachet from luxury gift line Gold N Dulcinea. And you can find Leonardo DiCaprio, Diddy and Natalie Portman at Pop Burger. This hip fast food joint has opened its second location in NYC.

Women to Watch was an inspiring awards luncheon honoring the most innovative empowered Women in the world of marketing and media. We've come a long way baby!

Among those honored were: Lisa Cupoto, Citi'; Ann Bologna, Troy; Anja Carroll, McDonalds; Melanie Healey, Procter and Gamble; and on and on. Thirty powerful women running top corporate businesses and we still see much more in our future.

The launch party for the music CD, "Ivy Ceiling," with special guests Sting, Russell Simmons and cast members of Bravo TV's "The Real House," were on hand at Bruno Jamais restaurant/club, 21 East 81 Street. The music features Sri Michael and Uma Saraswati, a Lokah debut release and it merges ancient art of Kirtan with modern musical styles of the 21st century.

At Strata, 31st and Lex., Remy Martin celebrated the limited edition of the Champagne / Cognac bottle designed by David La Chapelle. It is the best selling cognac in the USA and will be sold for a limited time as for June 2008. It was a blast of a party, non-stop music, food and drinks and women on stage wore only body paint. It was interesting, to say the least.

Do you know the Manhattan Club in NYC is selling timeshares? I went on a tour to see what they had to offer. You can buy a one week room for a year for a price that is much lower than a hotel room in NYC. If you care to look into it call the Manhattan Club. With the tour I received two tickets to "Tony and Tina's Wedding," which was an exaggeration of characters you have seen at some of your own family weddings. But what Broadway show has music and dancing and feeds you champagne, appetizer, entree and wedding cake throughout the play? It wasn't what your best restaurant in Manhattan or Rockaway would serve, but it was filling and palatable and seasoned with lots of belly laughs. A fun time. Get tickets and go.

The Pierre Hotel Kanartaka, India presented a beautiful video of the beautiful waterfalls, mountains, castles, monuments and animals of Bangalore, Mysore, Goa and more. They have luxury trains that run through those countries. One is called the Golden Chariot. And I might like to do a TV show on India on that train or similar. Would you like to come along with me? Let me know.
