Department Of Traffic Issues Traffic Advisory

The City of New York's Department of Transportation issued a traffic alert for the week of Saturday, August 30 to Friday, September 5, providing the locations of road construction and events where lane and street closings will affect the flow of traffic. Lane closings may also occur due to circumstances beyond the department's control. Major road, lane and street closings for the coming week are as follows:

Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge: One lane in each direction may be closed weekdays Monday to Friday for construction northbound toward Brooklyn 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and southbound to the Rockaways 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to facilitate MTA construction activity.

Cross Bay Bridge: One lane may be closed as needed weekdays northbound to Queens 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and southbound to the Rockaways 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. One lane may be closed in each direction weekends, around the clock to facilitate MTA long term construction.
