Seahorses Get Ready To Battle In Unfamiliar Surroundings
      The hallways at Far Rockaway High School will once again echo with change this fall. A brand new junior high school and two smaller high schools will open inside the building on September 2. Add to that FDA VI, an existing fouryear high school, and the denizens will be varied to say the least this fall.

New Sparkling Baseball Stadiums Begin To Rise
     In 2009, baseball fans will soon be entering New York City's two new complexes that will host the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. Shea Stadium (right) will end its 44-year existence as Citi Field officially opens its doors with an exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox on April 3, 2009.

5k Memorial Run-Walk Honors Fallen Children
      The 5K Memorial Run-Walk honors the memory of the five children: Sean Smith, James Fahy, Lauren Caffrey, Kathryn Conroy and Danny Thompson, who all died due to tragic injuries. All of the children were residents of the Breezy Point, Rockaway Point and Roxbury Community. The Run-Walk is a benefit for St. Thomas More CYO which all of the children were participants.
