The Hemodialysis Department of St. John's Episcopal Hospital was very thankful for their volunteers this summer. St. John's Episcopal Hospital honored its youths who gave or donated their time and energy over the summer with an ice cream party on Friday, August 15, 2008. Thirty-one youths were honored including 25 from the Summer Youth Employment Program and six who volunteered-unpaid-on their own initiative. The teens worked in a variety of hospital departments and capacities. John Gupta, St. John's Chief Executive Officer, and Margaret Carpenter, Vice President of the Episcopal Health Services Board of Managers, thanked them for the assistance they gave to the hospital and for contributing to the community.
