Several people were injured on Monday, none of them critically, when a city bus forcibly met a Honda automobile at Beach 34 Street and the Rockaway Freeway, police sources say.

Police officers from the 101 Precinct responded to a call of a twovehicle accident in which an eastbound Honda collided with an MTA Q22 bus carrying 29 passengers at the intersection of Seagirt Boulevard and Rockaway Freeway at Beach 34 Street, in the Edgemere section of Rockaway at about 1:15 p.m. on August 11.

Police sources reported that the automobile was driven by an unidentified 50-year-old woman, and the bus was operated by an unidentified 58-year-old woman.

The bus skidded and hit a concrete pillar supporting the elevated 'A' train that runs directly overhead.

EMS treated and released 10 people at the scene.

Twenty-one people were transported to area hospitals - 10 to Peninsula Hospital Center, eight to St. John's Episcopal Hospital and three to Jamaica Hospital.
