Parent Hearings Set To Kick Off
Parents and educators are invited to assist the State Senate Democratic Conference in proposing legislation that will improve the educational system. This is taking place on October 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Queens Borough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard, 2nd Floor Conference Room Kew Gardens, New York.
The Senate Democrat-sponsored Task Force was created to compile testimonies regarding the public school governance statute, and is set to expire in June 2009.
The task force was originally authorized in 2002 and adopted by the mayor, leaving parents with little opportunity for input.
