Dear Editor, I would like to respond to your criticism of the ad hoc committee's efforts to get a suitable recreation facility built in the Rockaways. You suggested that all the committee achieved was some notoriety and some ink in the local paper. My reading of the dictionary tells me that notoriety means "to be known for being notorious. More ... Dear Editor, I'm writing to you this week to express my utmost support for a boycott of the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing. The atrocities that Communist China has perpetrated against its people and the world are unspeakable and evidence its moral and ethical bankruptcy. More ... Tolerated Dear Editor, I shouldn't be surprised by this but, again, The Wave rushed to get a sensational (false) article into their paper without getting all the facts. She successfully added five new pit bull pups to the world's population. More ... Dear Editor, Speaking as a Belle Harbor commuter for the last 15 plus years of my life, I feel as though I am qualified to make a judgment on how challenging it is to travel to and from this Peninsula on a daily basis. I am beyond frustration with the extremely limited options that are available to me when I leave Manhattan after 5:30 p.m. during my regular work week. More ... Dear Editor, It is absolutely insane; the American people are getting ready to hire a new president that doubles as Commander in-Chief of the armed forces. Where are the criteria of who can and who cannot be considered for such a high position? More ... |
