I want to thank The Wave and staff reporter, Mr. Nicolas Briano, for the well-written article concerning the signage problem in Belle Harbor.
The message I want to pass on is that the 55 replacement signs are for poles or stanchions not having signs on them (55 parking signs missing).
For your information, I've enclosed the survey made of street signs in Belle Harbor in 2006. The area covered is from Beach 123 Street to Beach 140 Street. You may want to print the summary for the record or retain it for your file. See the summary in the upper left corner which shows that in addition, at least fifteen signs were unreadable due to extreme fading and seven others due to graffiti. The total number of signs identified was over eighty.
