Christopher W. Israel

Relative of Residents

Christopher Israel, a relative of Breezy Point residents, died July 26.

Israel was born in and raised in the parish of Our Lady Help of Christians in Brooklyn. He attended Xavier High School and Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. According to family, Israel was known by a myriad of names which include Izzy, Big Red, Fa, Six, Cristufus, Chowderhead and Daddy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Eleanor Israel.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Jeanette Israel; daughter, Caitlyn; wife, Annemarie, and expected child; brothers, Andrew (Rece) and Ross (Christine); grandparents, Alfred and Fannie Calabro; aunts and uncles, Richard and Jane Israel, Lorraine and Artie Larson, Ross and Sharon Calabro, and Anita and Thomas Bello; nieces, Mary and Julia; nephew, Andrew; and many cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church.
