Dear Editor: The following letter was sent on December 19, 2005, informing the reader of increased fuel costs to generate electricity. I know you know and the politicians know that electric energy can be generated by turbines using methane gas from landfills surrounding NYC and Long Island. More ... The street was filled with fire trucks, police and emergency vehicles and was eventually closed to traffic.
