Margot Kelly, Desi McGowan and his son Desmond prepared for a perfect day on the links. Desi is a member of the Golf Outing Committee and has attended the outing since its inception eight years ago. Fontbonne Hall Academy recently held its Eighth Annual Golf and Pool Outing at the Richmond County Country Club. Everyone enjoyed a sunny and beautiful day, superior prizes, delicious food and good company. Alumni, faculty, family and friends of Fontbonne Hall came out to support the event. Several members of the Rockaway community had a very good day at the outing.

Belle Harbor resident Joe Occhiogrosso (left) and the other members of his foursome - Joe Mure, Paul Durando and Drn Russi - achieved a fourth place finish in the tournament. Presenting their awards were Outing co-chairperson Harry Lewit and Jay Sessa. Mure's daughter Jean is a 2007 graduate of Fontbonne Hall and his daughter Kristie just completed her freshman year at Fontbonne. Joe Mure is also a member of Fontbonne's Golf Outing Committee. Frank Tartaro and Nolan Lau joined Jane Taikina and her dad Bob for a special day. Jane is a 2008 graduate of Fontbonne Hall and will travel from Breezy Point to attend Sacred Heart University in the fall. Members of the committee smiled, knowing that the day had been a huge success.
