The photo in the paper showed how happy the champions and runner-ups from last year 2007 PAL Little League were to receive their trophies. What happened? The PAL Little League was supposed to have their first game June 28, 2008. More ... Dear Editor, Recently Mayor Bloomberg announced plans to sharply reduce city spending in Fiscal Year 2009. This is due to the recession this country is currently experiencing, and by extension a drop in city revenues by $2 billion. More ... Dear Editor, Boo! It seems that the annual music concerts at Fort Tilden, which we and so many other Rockawayites, have enjoyed for so many years, has been sabotaged by our own National Park Service. It also seems that NPS Superintendent Lisa Eckert will be transferred to a post at the Grand Canyon. More ... |
