The tournament champion will receive a prize of $1,000. The registration fee for a team is $400 with 10 members comprising the roster. Registration is first come, first serve.

The event will last throughout the summer and be played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights starting at 6 p.m. in Inwood.

For more information on the tournament, contact Jeffrey "Jazz" Moye, director of the tournament and president of JMI Securities and Jazzy Rockers, at 1-347-993-2546 or head referee Mel Utley at 917-363-9735.

Casandra Hunte, a member and churchgoer of the Church of God, wrote a poem defining love, peace and unity.

Love: Definition- a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. Each player should play with love for their teammate.

Peace: Definition- a state of mutual harmony between people or groups.

Make peace with one another before you start playing.

Unity: Definition- the state of being one: oneness. Every player must play as one to win the game. Without God in your hearts, you will always be at war with your neighbor.
