Another Day on The Course For Partee Golf

By Peg Ansbro

Bruce Lansky once said, "The only thing in my bag that works is the bug spray."

On June 19, Peg Ansbro scored 63 and right behind her was Doris Neimeth with 66. Scoring in the seventies was: Marie Campbell (70), Pat Kelly and Dolores McAleer (71), Betty Weed and Pat Livinstone (72), and Joan McNally (73).

Chip-ins is credited to Marie Heffernan, Betty Weed, Arlene Crane and Noreen Schramm. Marie Cambell had a birdie and Mary Powers had a chipin birdie. Doris Neimeth is credited with a chip-in birdie and a birdie and Peg Ansbro had a chip-in and a birdie.

Closest to the pin on #10 was Doris Neimeth and on #18 the winner was Betty Weed. The 50/50 was won by Bernice Carroll.

Please mark your calendars as the Guys and Dolls Tournament will take place on Thursday, July 24. Betty Weed and Eileen Witzgall are working on it now and would like you to get your foursomes together. If you need a partner that can be arranged, call Betty (644-9078) or Eileen (634-3392). It is a fun day at Riis Park and the fun will continues back at the Catholic Club.

If you are on Kildare Walk, beware of Mary O'Rourke! She has a new electric cart and looks like Dale Earnhardt coming down the walk. She just loves the cart and goes everywhere in it. Mary is one of the best loved ladies in the Par Tees! Keep up the good work, Mary, we love you!!

Law of Golf: A golfer hitting into your group will always be bigger than anyone in your group. Likewise, a group you accidentally hit into will consist of a football player, a professional wrestler, a convicted murderer and an IRS agent- or some similar combination.

God Bless. Have a great week
