Judith Carpenter, a lifelong Rockaway resident, died June 23. Carpenter, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Belford.

Carpenter is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Jeanne and Patricia; and sisters, Mary Hunter and Betty Ryan.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
