The annual Cancer Society "Relay for Life," will be held this weekend at the Riis Park Mall. Dozens of teams will join to walk laps to raise funds to fight the disease. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday night, June 28, with a survivor's lap and will continue throughout the evening and into Sunday morning. Those who wish to commemorate a loved one lost to Cancer or to note the survival of somebody may purchase a 'luminaria," a candle to light the way. Anthony Graciano grew up in Rockaway Park. He learned how to fish from his grandfather, Papa Tom, a World War II veteran, who taught him how to hook bait, and reel in the fish.
