Chairman of the Department of Family Practice Albert Strojan, DO, was welcomed as the guest speaker by St. John's Community Advisory Board President Ava Strauss. St. John's Episcopal Hospital installed the officers of the Community Advisory Board on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the Board's annual dinner meeting. Guest speaker Albert Strojan,, DO, Chairman, Department of Family Practice, St. John's Episcopal Hospital, talked about the importance of primary care and targeted outreach to the community to promote prevention of illnesses.
John Gupta, St. John's Chief Executive Officer, spoke on the Hospital's goal of partnering with the community to improve its overall health status.
The newly installed officers included: President, Ava Strauss; 1st Vice President, Rachel Forde; 2nd Vice President, Joan Erber; and 3rd Vice President, Christina Russell. Outgoing 1st Vice President William Greene and 2nd Vice President Dosley McNeil were awarded certificates of service.
