Refuge Visitor Contact Station To Close Temporarily

The Visitor Contact Station at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge will close temporarily while new exhibits are being installed. The Visitor Contact Station will be closed from Monday, June 23 through Thursday, July 3. During that time the Refuge trails will remain open, and visitors will still have access to restrooms. Rangers will also be on duty to assist visitors and to carry out rangerled programs.

Kathy Krause, the Chief of Interpretation for the Jamaica Bay Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area noted, "This is very exciting. Installation of the permanent exhibits will put the finishing touches on this terrific new Visitor Contact Station." For more information, call 718-318-4340.
