Though her team went up 1-0, St. Francis Prep would go on to win the final two games to secure the diocesan championship at Floyd Bennett Field on May 23.

The Molloy starting centerfielder played her final game as a high school student but the Broad Channel resident will continue to swing for the fences in college.

Ott accepted a scholarship to play at Pace University in

Westchester County.

Ott batted .425 in 2007, and was named to the CHSAA all-softball first team. Molloy would go on to win the diocesan crown over St. Francis Prep that year for their first ever title.
