SJEH Holds Classes For Expecting Mothers

Expecting? St. John's Episcopal Hospital is offering birthing classes to aid soon-to-be moms in preparing themselves for the big day. The classes offer: learning what to expect with cesarean delivery; pain medications; the warning signs of pre-term labor; breathing and relaxing exercises; exercises for pregnant women; nutrition, breast and bottle feeding; stages of leaving, post-partum depression and taking care of yourself and the baby.

The classes will be held at St. John's Episcopal Hospital at 327 Beach 19 Street, in the hospital's boardroom. Classes are offered in three sessions on Thursdays, July 3, 10 and 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and are taught by certified prepared childbirth educators. Fees are very affordable, and those interested should call 718-869- 7182.
