Thank You To Transit Police

Dear Editor,

I am writing to compliment the professionalism, courtesy and kindness of the NYC Transit Police stationed in the Waldbaum's parking lot. On Friday evening, my husband and I went food shopping at the supermarket. We parked in the handicapped parking, placing my handicapped tag on the visor. When we returned to the car we discovered that the tag had been stolen. We must have inadvertently left the van unlocked. As you can imagine, we were very upset. Officer Segot from the transit police mobile unit took the complaint and was very kind. On Monday, after contacting the Department of Transportation, we needed to get a copy of the complaint to send in for a replacement tag. We were directed to the 100 Precint. The officer on the phone was rude and not helpful. We called the transit police unit and they straightened everything out. Officer Perkins was so kind and helpful. I hope you print this letter as a thank you to these fine officers, and a reminder to the community that we have wonderful transit police personnel.
