Rockaway Memorial Day Parade - A Small But Determined Contingent


While the number of marchers in the Rockaway Memorial Day Parade seems to fall each year, the number of local residents who lined Rockaway Beach Boulevard to cheer them on seems to grow with each passing year. The parade stepped out on Monday morning from Beach 129 Street, pausing at the Memorial Circle on Beach 120 Street for a short ceremony before moving on to the Doughboy and Doughgirl Monuments on Beach 95 Street.
