Remembering The Holocaust

Dear Editor,

I'm taking the time to write this week to commemorate the tragedy of the Holocaust. As you may know, last Thursday was Holocaust Remembrance Day. That being said, it is important that we take some time to reflect on the most grotesque, depraved, inhumane genocide which has ever been perpetrated. Though it has been 63 years since the concentration camps were liberated, we should not forget the sins of Nazi Germany. It is my hope that the 12 million people who died in the Holocaust did not perish in vain. I believe that we can learn from their extermination and never repeat the atrocities committed during that shameful period of our history.
