NBC television has been shooting a new television series entitled "Kings," at Beach 65 Street in the Arverne By The Sea development. The scenes they are filming posit an attack on the "Kingdom of New York" by an invading army. The series is a modern take on the story of King David. The story will be set in a city that is the seat of a modern-day kingdom. The central character, like David, will rise to fame after an heroic act: slaying the much bigger and more powerful Goliath. He eventually takes over the reins of the kingdom. Pictured, crewmen ready the assault helicopter for action. All photos by Howard Schwach.
