The Other Side Of The DBP Story

Dear Editor,

It is my hope that you do publish some of what I am about to write to The Wave. I would like this to remain anonymous because I am afraid for my safety and my sanity if my name is printed in the paper of Rockaway being a resident for YEARS in these buildings I now see how vicious people can get and I am sick of it.

I am not writing because I have been on the board, I am not writing because I have some personal connection with anyone on the board or nor do I desire to build one with anyone. I am writing for myself and the other residents of Dayton Beach Park who are sick and tired of the "bull" that has been going on for too long now.

The waste of paper, printing flyers and wasting time taping them up in every building on every floor: GET A LIFE!

The women whose names were included in last weeks Wave, acting as if they are innocent in all of this and trying to pin everything on our last President: WHAT A JOKE!

Perhaps the individuals who illegally turned over DBP documents and recorded meetings should have come forward to The Wave as well, and explained how pathetic each one is and the drama they cause day-in and day-out among our buildings.

Perhaps these lovely residents of DBP should have presented The Wave with documentation from past years when our lovely President. Dolores Orr, was heading the buildings.

We all know how well that worked out, didn't we? There is a mention of the hold we have on 8400 in regards to the brickwork. They should tell the entire story; this is because of President Orr and crew. Now I am not going to point fingers like others do, but I just wanted to publicize that there were many problems with DBP, and they did not start recently. This is going back years and years, now where are the articles on the front page of The Wave for those?

Perhaps The Wave should publish that certain board members at certain times had two apartments, not one but two! Oh no, I did not just tell, yes I did! Or how there are certain qualifications for one to get a twobedroom apartment, being a single person is not one of them. But someone on the board seemed to have resided in a two-bedroom illegally. Everyone has dirty laundry, and usually I am not one to open my mouth or sit at my keyboard and type it up, but I have HAD IT!

Instead of working together, people's lives are being ripped apart and now the local newspaper is involved! Flyers are posted day in and day out, members personal lives becoming public and the best is people being accused of racism- when they are printing the flyers about themselves claiming other board members did it! And the current meetings that are held, front row seats to the circus. I have never seen grown adults act in such a way in my life.

It is frustrating enough walking the hallways to flyers and seeing some of these people, but to host them in the same room it's like caging a wild beast!
