More than 300 students from kindergarten through sixth grade gathered on Friday, February 14, to celebrate the unveiling of their books. The posters were voted on and four winners were chosen. First place was fifth-grader, Ashley Chavez; second place was second-grader, Jennifer Bodre Conner; third place was third-grader, David Lewis; and fourth place was fifth-grader, Joshua Buffa. First and second place winners received a $50 savings bond and third and fourth place winners received a $25 gift certificate. NY1 News reporter, Ruschell Boone, assisted in awarding the prizes.
