JMI Security Honors Johnson For Community Service

Coach Jeffrey "Jazz" Moye, founder of the JMI Security Service (left) and Melvin Utley (right), teacher, referee and former Far Rockaway High school and St. John's University basketballs star, presented Daisy Johnson with an award for her service as a pillar to the Far Rockaway and Inwood community. Twenty years ago, Johnson (pictured middle with husband James Johnson) created a day car center/playgroup on Central Avenue called Ms. D's Playgroups. Moye, founder of the Jazzy Rockers and JMI Securities Basketball Tournament, says he presented the plaque to Johnson as recognition to her support of young children in the community.
