Brotherhood and Sisterhood

Dear Editor,

Beware of those who, in innocence but cold pretext, would douse you either with some coke or dope, in food and/or beverages, to effect and quiver sensuousness and cause abandonment and surrender of virtue and societal morals conditioned since almost birth.

I've fallen and I've been stultified to join the reigns of other sisters and brothers, adult and minor, regardless of age, race, ethnicity and creed by Shindler's examples to us via Spielberg.

Dossier: professional, multi-racial, slick, charming visible con when viewed by me in "straight" composure. Accompanied by females, makeup cases containing Quayluds, crack (AKA D.M.T) source, college, hospital, legitimate labs, pharmacies and vets. They are sugar sweet, pseudo sophistic, pseudo intellectuals by know not our etiology.

What are we: of the same varied races, but differ in social stratifications, we may not be elitists nor do we aspire to such but this is transparently evident in their demeanor. God help us, its not only the recession we are at war with. They don't talk the talk or walk the walk.

Why can't people just speak clearly, in English, and state the obvious realities of life here? Neither Arverne by the Sea, nor Ocean Grande, the Savon, Belle Shores nor any other expensive high rise will improve Rockaway.
This is not because of the recession or real estate bubble or subprime mortgage crisis, although they will affect things.
This is because of terrible City planning of communities here in the Rockaways, decades worth of it; from the lack of cohesive design of all shopping areas to the dearth of transportation and educational services, the total lack of entertainment and recreation beyond summertime beachgoing (which overwhelms homeowners anyway because of the sheer numbers of Down for the Dayers); the sinful failure of so much public housing, nursing homes and halfway houses; murders and rapes by teenagers and young 20 somethings of teenagers and young 20 somethings; drug transactions and alcohol use in every nook and cranny of this peninsula. And that means from the very tip of the East end to the very tip of the West end when it comes to drugs like alcohol, cocaine and crack.
There is no need for confusing language here or obscure quotations that people don't understand.
Just the plain truth will do.
Is this even fixable anymore? Should everyone just give up?
Not if you love this place and I think you all do.
