Cold Weather Contributes To Hydrant Bust

FDNY crews struggle to get a busted fire hydrant under control on Monday, January 21 on the corner of Beach 67 Street and Beach Channel Drive. Beach 67 Street was closed off as gallons of water poured into the streets on a sub-freezing day. It took the FDNY more than 20 minutes to contain the water gushing from the hydrant.
