College Goal Sunday

College is an expensive thing, and applying for financial aid is a long and complicated process with many forms. Now, there is a program co-sponsored by the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA) and the New York State Higher Education Services Corp. (HESC) called "College Goal Sunday." This is a free event offering hands-on professional help with filling out the Free Application for Free Student Aid (FAFSA) and submitting it electronically. In New York, the program will be held at 15 locations throughout the state, including John Bowne High School in Flushing, on Sunday, February 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Anybody interested in attending the program should go to www.collegegoalsundayny. com for further information regarding the program, including a step-by-step checklist of the process and exactly which forms and information are necessary to complete the FAFSA.
