Pay Teachers To Quit
      Thank you, Rabbi Allan Blaine, for your wonderful column in the January 4th Wave, "Paying For Performance." The first aim of education should indeed be to inculcate the love of learning in our young people. I was appalled when I first heard about incentive pay for students and teachers alike; teachers I know share this opinion and are either amused or insulted.

      Dear Editor, I wanted to get this letter to you in order for you to run it at the same itme, I am sure, you will run a frontpage story on the murder of another young black man in New York City. After reading your newspaper for years, I am sure that you will treat this murder as a victory of the police. After all, we all know that Ronnie Smalls was a gangbanger and a thug.

      Dear Editor, In reply to, "Breezy Baseball Bombshell," what were you thinking putting innocent children in your paper as a headline? That photo was taken for a day out at Shea Stadium and should not be used to depict this horrible article that included all of those children.

Fraunces Tavern Bombing
      This letter was sent to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. Dear Editor, Today is the thirteenth anniversary of the bombing of the Fraunces Tavern in New York City by 15 FALN Puerto Rican murderers. Four died in that atrocity and more than 60 were injured by these sub-human terrorists.
