Please Help Us
Dear Editor,

My six-year-old nephew, Raysean Garcia, is being targeted by the teachers at PS 106. Surely, he has problems, but it's very unfair for the teachers to always place blame on him.

Teachers are talking about him, saying, "Watch out for him because he likes to bite and spit." Every time something happens, the teachers blame him even when the other children pick on him first. We try to teach him not to hit back, but who is going to allow someone to hit them without retaliating? One of his teachers put his head under his chair like he was a dog, while another teacher watched. She took his hand and put it in his mouth and he almost choked. What would you do if someone did that to you? Remember, he's only six.

This boy has had some problems in his short life that most adults wouldn't be able to endure. His grandmother, who works, tries to do the best she can. Many times she has to leave her job to go up to the school to see about him. His aunt also helps out. We need to get him out of that school.
