Local Organization Honored For Work With Seniors
Gateway Visitor Center Holiday Hours

The Institute for the Puerto Rican/ Hispanic Eldery's (IPR/HE) Weatherization, Referral and Packaging Program (WRAP) in Far Rockaway, was given an Outstanding Service Award by the Parodneck Foundation's Senior Citizen's Home Assistance Program (SCHAP) at a networking breakfast hosted by the foundation on December 6, 2007. Dwayne Jones, Director of Lending for Parodneck presented the award to the Regina Enman, WRAP Liaison. All visitor centers in Gateway's Jamaica Bay Unit, including Floyd Bennett Field, Jacob Riis Park, Fort Tilden and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, will be closed on on Tuesday, January 1,2008.

Although the visitor centers will be closed, all park trails, fishing areas and outdoor recreation facilities will be open for public use from sunrise to sunset. For additional information, call 718- 338-3799 or visit www.nps.gov/gate.
