for larger version       Thanks for the Lift I want to thank the retired N.Y. firefighter and a lifeguard, who picked me up and took me to the curb. Another gentleman came from North Fork Bank and brought a chair. They called the ambulance and stayed with me until I was taken to the hospital. Thank you so much for your help and compassion. I will remember you in my prayers. Through the pain, I could not appreciate the fact that I stopped traffic for the first time in my life! May the blessings of Christmas be with you and health and happiness in the new year.
