Yes, Apologize
Dear Editor,

Rather than from John Paul Culotta, The Progressive, a mea culpa apology is due from the cretins who faithfully followed our "torturer in chief" to financial and human disaster.

Iraq is now, and has been since March 2003, nothing more complicated than a crooked Texas oilman stealing oil wells. We are not in a war: we are in a robbery.

Those who tolerated and parroted excuses for the Bush - imposed blood- bath - this disgraceful spectacle of 300 million Americans attacking and attempting to subjugate 25 million Iraqis - are no more deserving of our respect than were the German and Italian followers of Adolf and Benito the last time fascism went on a conquest rampage.

And "success" in Iraq? Is the percentage of Iraqis who approve of our being there, who welcome Exxon-Mobil and BP into their lives, higher or lower than a year ago?

STEPHEN WOHL
