for larger version       Stop The Violence Basketball Tournament Finishes Off In Style
The day kicked off to a great start with Team $how & Prove beating the Da B.K. Ballers to win their second straight championship in a row. Game two saw the NYC Panthers finish their season with a perfect 12-0 record by defeating the Da B.K. Ballers for their first-ever championship trophy. Game three saw the Cinderella team of the tournament, Team Hammel defeat last year's champion, Da B.K. Ballers. Coach Curtis Williams, with tears in eyes, said, "I never witness a group of children work so hard, they never gave up on their selves." After each game, the teams received their trophies; also several players received special recognition trophies for their excellent school work; and sportsmanship. The day finished with the tournament founder and former center director, Curtis Williams, receiving a touching farewell from the Da B.K. Ballers and their parents.
