Beach Channel High School Students Visit Alvin Ailey
Beach Channel High School dance majors are participating in a program sponsored by Rockaway Music & Arts Council. Students enrolled in the Arts Program were recently given the opportunity to attend in-house workshops, which were led by dancers from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
The students also attended a performance at the Alvin Ailey II Dance Company at the New York City Center. The dance majors were thrilled to see their "teachers" in the performance. The dance majors are students of Tanya Mgredichian, the dance teacher in the Arts Program at Beach Channel High School.
