Gateway Maintenance
Dear Editor,

Having grown up in NYC, I recall the days when Riis Park was under the control of NYC. The condition of the walkways, the railing, etc., was far better in those days than they are now. It's embarrassing to think that the federal government would allow a national park to persist in such a poor state. Reclaiming Riis Park from the federal government is one way to improve its condition and return it to respectability.
