Celebrate The Festival of Lights

Three Rockaway synagogues, Temple Beth El, West End Temple and Congregation Ohab Zedek, are sponsoring the Festival of Lights on Beach 116 Street.

Candles will be lit by rabbis and members from each congregation nightly during the festival, also known as Hanukkah. The first nightly candle-lighting ceremony will take place on December 4 at 4:45 p.m., on the median of Beach 116 Street. The last will occur on December 11, at the same time and place.

The December 7 ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. and on December 8, the event occurs at 5:30 p.m. All other nightly candle lightings are scheduled for 4:45 p.m.

All are invited to celebrate with music, singing, hot chocolate, and community spirit.
