Fontbonne Hall's freshmen swimmers; (left rear): Emily Mason, Laura Fernandez, Natalie D'Alessandro, Rianna Hage, Bianca Silvestri, Taryn Scala; in front: Katie Baudille, and Stephanie Bonja.
Fontbonne Hall's varsity swim team returned to action, facing off against Saint Joseph Hill last Sunday at the Saint Francis College pool.

The Bonnies were led by individual first place finishes by Michelle Powers, in the 50 freestyle (28.65), and the 100 freestyle (1:07.15); and Elena Anastasaio, in the 100 breaststroke (1:23.14).

Powers also teamed up with Alexa Morrisey, Kristin McMaster, and Jackie Izzo, to capture the 4 x 50 freestyle relay, (1:58.48).

Other highlights included Olivia O'Hara finishing fourth in the 100 breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:29.07 and Samantha Motley coming off a fourth place finish in the fifth event, the 100 butterfly, (1:21.07) to post a solid time (7:21.68) in only her second start in the grueling 500 yard freestyle, two events later.

Despite the efforts of these girls and the rest of the team, the Bonnies fell to Saint Joseph Hill by an 89-81 final score.
