Claire Barbosa, a 41 year Rockaway resident, coming from Brooklyn died November 18. Barbosa, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn. She was a member of Breezy Point Garden Club, Roxbury Catholic Club, Mayor's Committee, Meals on Wheels and St. Genevieve's Prayer Group. She was preceded in death her husband, Jack. Barbosa is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Savage (Richard); sons, Michael (Laura) and Christopher (Nancy); brother, Thomas Leavens; sister, Veronica Bovich; grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley, Danielle, Krystyna, Robert, Elora, Jenna and Jack. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at St. Genevieve Church. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York. Robin Denise Bell Transit Authority Station Agent Robin Denise Bell, a longtime Rockaway resident, died November 7. Bell was born in Brooklyn on March 18, 1955. She was preceded in death her father Robert O. Sargent. Bell is survived by her daughter, Atlle Ariesa Bell; mother, Margretta Sargent; siblings, Valerie, Robert, Lyn Sargent and Desiree Sargent- Sprinkle; significant friend, David Hills; the Bell Family; nephews, Edward Jr. and Timothy Bell; neice, Susan Bell; cousins and aunts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at Gaffney's Friendship chapel. Disposition was at Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester, New York. | |||||
