Toned-Down,Extreme Rant I was happy to see that John Paul Culotta has toned down his extreme rant in order to persuade people who may disagree with him."Extreme," "violent," "corrupt" and "Kool-Aid drinkers" were particularly well-reasoned arguments based on "fact". Culotta seems to think that simplifying history and leaving out major details is "fact". Some of the minor details Mr. Culotta leaves out are: 1- President Bush "commenced a war" with Congressional approval. 2- How can we be "fair and balanced" to suicide bombers and terrorists? 3- A CIA employee who was not "secret" was outed by an anti-Bush State Department official. 4- Culotta has decided that waterboarding is torture although Congress has declined to make it illegal. 5- Go to Target or BJ's and see how poorly middle-class America is doing. 6- The "Gulf Region" has made a remarkable recovery, except for Louisiana. 7- Our border is open because of people who share Culotta's political opinions. 8- Health insurance does not equal health care. 9- Companies are supposed to make a profit, that's why they employ workers. Our veterans are the victims of a Federal bureaucracy, which is something Culotta generally favors. 10- Our civil liberties are under attack - where? Please be specific. That even Culotta could call this pile of invective "fact" is mind-boggling.
