Herbert Kamlet Lecture Series December 3

Herbert Kamlet
Congregation Ohab Zedek, located at 134-01 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Belle Harbor, will hold the annual Herbert Kamlet Memorial Lecture on Monday evening, December 3 at 8 p.m.

This year's discussion will focus on "The Kehillah: The Medieval Jewish Community," a millennium of Jewish communal life under Christian rule.

The lecturer will be Dr. Jacob Reiner, Rabbi Emeritus from Congregation Ohab Zedek, as well as a professor of Jewish History at Yeshiva University.

The lecture series is named in honor of the late Herbert Kamlet, a Rockaway resident for 47 years who was prominent in both the community and congregation. A reception will be held in the synagogue ballroom at the conclusion of the program.
