Fight Leaves One Shot,Another Slashed
By Howard Schwach

One man was shot and another was slashed in a fight that erupted outside of this home at 338 Beach 70 Street in Arverne.
Afight between two men in front of a home in Arverne on Tuesday left one with a gunshot wound in the leg and the other slashed on his torso, police say.

According to sources, Kindu Brown, 32, and Deshaun Posey, 24, were fighting in front of 338 Beach 70 Street at about 9:40 p.m. on November 20. Police say they do not know what started the fight. What they do know is that the fight escalated and left Brown with a gunshot wound and Posey with several knife slashes.

Both men were transported to Peninsula Hospital Center for treatment, before being put under arrest and taken to Queens Central Booking.

Both were charged by police with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

A spokesperson for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown told The Wave on Wednesday that neither Brown (no relation to the DA) nor Posey has yet been arraigned, but that action was expected to come on Friday.

Neither man suffered life-threatening wounds, sources say.
