Washington was born on September 21, 1935 in Far Rockaway. He was preceded in death by his brother, David; and nephew, Andre. Washington is survived by his son, Adrian Willis; daughter-in-law, Sherline; siblings, Elaine Applin and William Washington; sisters-in-law, Olivia and Louise Washington; nieces, Celeste, Tanya, Colette, and Ronda; nephews, Lamont and Jemal; grandniece, Adonya; grand-nephew, Avron; grandchildren, Anika, Joy, Kai, Blakeley, Nicholas, Jasmine and Adrian II; great-grandchildren, Tiffani, Jared and Brandon; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Rockville Cemetery in Lynbrook, New York.
