for larger version       Carley Portera Is Back Carley Portera, a Stella Maris High School student, has returned from a Youth For Understanding (YFU) USA exchange program. She was an international exchange student who lived with a host family and participated in a cultural immersion experience in Finland. Portera is a recipient of the Finland U.S. Senate Youth Exchange scholarship. She is one of more than 225,000 young people from around the world, who have participated in exchange programs with YFU.
Youth For Understanding is a worldwide movement of committed individuals and organizations working together to prepare young people for their responsibilities and challenges in a changing, interdependent world.
