for larger version       Ads have a Patent Pending. Click Here for More Information Evelyn Marie Brown Nurse Evelyn Marie Brown, a longtime Rockaway resident, died October 27. She was 60. Brown was born on October 22, 1940 in Bessimer, Alabama. She worked as a nurse at Creedmoor Hospital until she retired in May. She was preceded in death her mother, Ronia; brothers, Robert, Willie James, and Bobby Louis; and sisters, Betty L. Aiken and Stacey L. Hare. Brown is survived by her children, Robert Jr., Cassandra, and David; grandson, Davel; father, Reverend Richard L. Hare Sr. (Berthel); brothers, Richard Jr., Corgin, Tommy, Clyde, Paul, and Ronald; sisters, Louvenia, Amandel, Patricia, and Valerie; in-laws, Julia, Paula, June, William Aiken Jr., John Spooner; family and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at Lilly of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
