Wearing a seat belt saved the life of Sheryl Saunders, 641 Beach 69 Street, Arverne, on Monday afternoon, November 2, when she was involved in a collision at Beach 69 Street and Rockaway Freeway, Arverne. Traditional white uniforms worn by surgeons have been replaced by green in Peninsula General Hospital. The new color is said to be easier on the eyes of the men who work under strong operating room lights. State Senator James J. Crisona of Neponsit in an overwhelming 3-4 vote in his favor won the position as borough president against the incumbent James A. Lundy.
