BCAC Shamrocks Play Tough Battle Against Bayville

The BCAC Shamrocks Peanut White team traveled to Bayville, Long Island last Sunday to face the mighty Eagles.

BCAC did get off to a slow start after a first possession touchdown by Bayville. But after that, the Shamrocks settled in and played sound football the rest of the day.

The defense was lead by hard hitting Agoglia twins, James and Christian Also firming up the line were Bryan Bostwick, Johnny Walsh, James Carson and the "pit-bull" Mike McManus. The defensive backfield was patrolled by Aidan Smith, Christian Appel, John Baroudaos, Jack Collins John Mullally, Dillon Ostrander, and Phoenix Parker.

The offense had their hands full with a fast moving ever changing front put up by the Eagles. The Shamrocks adapted and were lead by center Robert Baldiran; guards John Mullen, Bryan Bostwick; and tackles Christian Appel and John Baroudos. The Shamrocks took advantage of this front line and drove down the field to the three yard line. QB Aidan Smith handed off to RB Timothy McCabe, who took two defenders for a ride and into the end zone for the touchdown.

We would like to give a special mention to Ian Byrne, who has returned from injured reserve, and is a welcome addition to this team.

The Shamrocks have two weeks of exciting play left. This Sunday, the Wantagh Black team will travel to the Shamrocks and to BCAC Field for a 10 a.m. contest.

We are playing the first ever SHAMROCK BOWL pitting the Peanut Green team vs. the Peanut White team. This game will be played at BCAC Field on November 4 at 2 p.m. Don't miss this one as bagpipers will lead the boys into battle. There will be a 50/50 winner that will be announced at halftime. It is looking like a very large draw, so make sure to get in on that. Thanks to everyone for supporting this great program. See you Sunday. SHAMROCKS ROCK!
