Christine Walsh, a longtime Rockaway resident, coming from Union City, New Jersey, died October 23.

Walsh was born in Manhattan. She was a retired telephone operator for New York Telephone. She was a member of St. Camillus Golden Age, Columbiettes, St. Francis Sea Breeze, and St. Rose Seniors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Walsh Jr. Bryant is survived by her sons, Thomas F and William J, III; daughter, Kathleen Breen; grandchildren, William Walsh, Jennifer Johnson, James Breen, Elizabeth Walsh, Monica Lauro, Jessica Breen and Thomas Walsh; and great-grandchildren, Robert and Emilia Johnson.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held at St, Camillus Church. Interment was at Calvery Cemetery in Woodside.
